Kickin’ Hot Chocolate Bars
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ cup cocoa
- Dash salt
- ¼ t. (or less to taste) chipotle chili powder
- ½ t. cinnamon
- 1 t. baking soda
- 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 t. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
Mix dry ingredients well. Mix next five ingredients just to combine then add dry mixture. Mix well. Stir nuts in. Pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake in 350 F oven 30-45 minutes just until done. Yields about 15 bars.
