Noble REMC directors Bob Marshall and Steve Kirkpatrick have announced their intentions to remove their names from the ballot for re-election to the board. The director election will be held at the cooperative’s annual meeting/picnic on June 2.
Marshall represents District 7 which encompasses Allen and Swan townships in Noble County. Marshall has served on the Noble REMC board of directors for 39 years, nearly 14 of those years as board chairman. He and his wife, Jeryl, reside west of LaOtto. “It’s been a privilege to serve the members of Noble REMC for the past 39 years and be a part of this outstanding corporation,” shared Marshall.
Kirkpatrick represents District 6 which covers Jefferson and Albion townships in Noble County. Kirkpatrick has served on the Noble REMC board of directors since 2003. During his tenure on the board, he also represented the cooperative as a director on the Indiana Electric Cooperatives board in Indianapolis for several years. He and his wife, Dee Dee, currently reside south of Albion. The Kirkpatricks plan to relocate outside of Noble REMC service territory. “I’ve appreciated working with the Noble REMC employees, the CEO and the other directors to carry out the business of the cooperative,” said Kirkpatrick.
Both Marshall and Kirkpatrick will be missed. We appreciate their service to Noble REMC and wish them well in their future endeavors. We encourage members living within all three districts up for election, but especially those residing within Districts 6 and 7, to consider submitting their documentation for candidacy.
