Over 1,000 members, community members and employees came together June 23 for Steuben County REMC’s 81st annual meeting.
Kids enjoyed face painting, bounce houses, an obstacle course, sports games and a bungee run. Members voted for their choice of directors in this year’s election. Carter Snider was re-elected in the contested district, as well as Mike Kurtz and Larry Jack in the non-contested races. Registration gifts were purchased from local non-profits, keeping the money in our community and helping to Power Change, the theme of this year’s meeting.
Every member was also given an opportunity to do his or her part to help power change by selecting a philanthropic organization serving Steuben County. The co-op made donations to over 50 local organizations on behalf of the membership, giving a boost to those that are helping to make this community a better place.
From country hits to rock ‘n’ roll covers, Hubie Ashcraft, Travis Gow and Missy Burgess from the Hubie Ashcraft Band rocked the house with their musical stylings.
