We’ve all heard the saying: If you don’t like the weather in Indiana, wait five minutes.
Mother Nature may have pushed back LaGrange County REMC’s Community Day, but the wet weather didn’t dampen our spirits.
In honor of Co-op Month, held every October, LaGrange County REMC teamed up with electric cooperatives across the state to improve the quality of life in our communities.
Twelve REMC employees worked together Oct. 11 to hang siding on the newest building at The Farm, a local nonprofit organization and a cooperative member. The facility serves to help children who need placed in the care of foster parents, regardless of the time of day or night, as well as to conduct therapeutic visits with animals onsite.
“We power communities and strive to empower our members,” CEO Mark Leu said. “Thank you to The Farm for allowing us to continue to build up and give back to the community we belong to and serve every day.”
