Irish Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 5 ribs celery, chopped
- 2-3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 1 T. sugar
- 2 slices bread, cut into ½-inch cubes
- 3-4 carrots, sliced ½-inch thick
- 1 large can diced tomatoes
- 3 T. tapioca
- 1 t. salt
Directions
Combine all ingredients. Cook 5 hours at 250 F. (Note: We used a lean cut of beef and needed to add several cups of water to the stew while it cooked.)
