LaGrange County REMC recently welcomed two tree-trimmers/groundmen to its team: Jeff Patrick and Cole Harmes.
Patrick joined the co-op on Oct. 25 after working at Jayco for three years. He revealed that there is a lot to learn on the electric distribution system but has loved working with the guys. “It’s a great work environment,” said Patrick.
Patrick also serves as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach for Prairie Heights. He enjoys riding motorcycles, fishing and golfing when he has spare time. Patrick also recently became engaged to Jessie Johnson. He resides in LaGrange.
Harmes began his REMC career on Nov. 1 after being employed by Stoy Farms for three years. Cole admitted that there is a learning curve when it comes to working around electricity but he appreciates the help the linemen and other tree crew members have provided. “The guys are very flexible, understanding that you are learning something new every day,” Harmes noted.
Cole enjoys hunting, farming and being outdoors and looks forward to eventually becoming a journeyman lineman for the co-op. Cole lives in Angola.
Please join us in welcoming both to LaGrange County REMC!
