There are three ways to vote for your 2022 board of directors candidates: by mail, drop off at the office, or in person at the meeting on April 19. Please remember, there will be NO entertainment, BINGO or refreshments. It will be a business-style meeting; registration starts at 6 p.m. and the meeting will be at 7 p.m. Here are your board of directors candidates.
District 1
Jeff Vogel
Jeff Vogel is the candidate for director of District #1. He and his wife, Karen, live northwest of Rockport in Ohio Township.
They have a daughter, Lauren; a son-in-law, Adam; a son, Eric; a daughter-in-law, Valerie; and six grandchildren: Hadleigh, Isabelle, Morgan, Allison, Lance and Olivia. Vogel is a 1978 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in farm and business management.
He, along with his son and brother-in-law, farms 3,500 acres in Spencer County. They also operate a retail seed business and a beef cow herd. Vogel is currently serving on the board of Lincolnland Economic Development Corporation.
Vogel and his family are members of Peace Lutheran Church in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he serves on the board of trustees. Vogel has completed the NRECA director certification program and is a Credentialed Cooperative Director. He currently serves as the chairman of the board.
District 2
Chris Burroughs
Chris Burroughs is the candidate for director of District #2.
He and his wife, Donna, live near Chrisney in Spencer County. They have four children — three daughters and a son. Burroughs has an A.S. degree from ITT Technical Institute. He worked 10 years at Spencer Industries as a project engineering manager while farming part time. He made the move to full-time farming in 1998 and continues today as owner of Burroughs Farms Inc.
He and his wife are members of Bloomfield Wesley Chapel Methodist Church where he serves on various committees. He also serves on the Advocate Council for Farm Credit Mid-America.
District 7
David Lynch
David Lynch is the incumbent director for District #7.
He and his wife, Michelle, live in rural St. Croix. They have five children: Mallory, Dylan, Shayne, Lily and Rilynn.
He is a graduate of Vincennes University with a degree in land surveying and is registered as a professional land surveyor in Indiana.
Lynch is self-employed at Lynch Surveying and Engineering and is also the elected Perry County Surveyor.
He and his family are active members of Deer Creek Baptist Church in Tell City, where he serves as deacon.
He is currently in the process of becoming a Credentialed Cooperative Director.
Larry Meyer
Larry Meyer is running for a seat on the board of directors for District #7.
He and his wife, Kathy, live in rural Ferdinand. They have two children, Karri and Heath.
Meyer is a graduate of Forest Park High School and Nashville Auto Diesel College. He has been a mechanic all his life and retired from Foertsch Construction after 26 years.
Meyer runs a small cattle operation and does part-time mechanic work. He is also a devoted motorcycle rider and belongs to Abate of Indiana and Harley Owners Group.
Meyer is a member of the Ferdinand Legion where he is on the Winter Sunday morning Bar-B-Q crew. He also served on the board of directors for the Huntingburg Conservation Club for 14 years, two of them as vice president.
Meyer and his wife are members of St. Ferdinand Church.
