LaGrange County REMC employees got a head start on Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day, which will be held on Oct. 14. REMC employees helped pack meals for Feed My Starving Children at the Michiana Event Center (MEC) in Shipshewana on Aug. 26.
Twenty-six employees packed meals of MannaPack Rice. As FMSC’s first and original food formula, MannaPack Rice is an excellent source of protein, carbohydrates and key nutrients culturally acceptable worldwide for anyone over the age of one.
REMC employees joined other community members who altogether packed over 520,000 meals during the multi-day event that will be sent to malnourished children around the world. Our community service with FMSC also exemplifies our core principle of commitment to community and also helps us honor National Cooperative Month.
