LaGrange County REMC’s newest employee, Fiber Technician Joe Tennant, is embracing the challenge of helping the REMC provide fiber internet access to our members. “There was a lot thrown at me and it was a big learning curve. But, I was ready for it and am getting used to it,” he admitted.

Tennant joined the co-op in November after 16 years as a broadband specialist at Mediacom.

He is looking forward to getting to know everyone a little better. “It’s a great work environment,” Tennant said. He enjoys playing music, whether it be drums or guitar, and even sings a little. He also enjoys watching the NBA, specifically the Golden State Warriors. 

Tennant’s faith means more to him than anything and played a big part in what brought him to REMC. “The culture is very different than where I was,” noted Tennant. He and his wife, Michelle, live in LaGrange and have three children.
