Community. It’s the place you call home. It’s where you raise your kids and buy your groceries. Community is made of that special blend of family and neighbors, sports and churches, fond memories and bright futures. At Clark County REMC, we have been focused on the importance of our community for the last 84 years. And now I’m asking for your help to lift up your community.
In the summer of 2020, we created an assistance program called Lend a Hand, where Clark County REMC members can donate money to help their neighbors who may be struggling to pay their electric bills. Our board of directors approved a dollar-for-dollar match of anything that our members give, and to date, we have given more than $30,000 in assistance to more than one hundred REMC families in need! We can’t thank you enough for your generosity.
While we quickly raised a large pool of donations in 2020 and 2021, the community’s need for help has outpaced our donations in the last year or so. Summer heat always leads to higher-than-normal electric bills, and without more donations, we may have to turn away families this season. Would you be willing to make a small donation to help your neighbors?
Visit our website to give, either one time or a little each month. Together, we can keep making a difference for those who need it most.
