Operation Round Up Grants Awarded

As your co-op, we are empowered to do more for our community.

Steuben County REMC members recently awarded funds to three local organizations in our community through the Operation Round Up program. The average contribution by a member per year is $6, with a maximum contribution of $11.88. These pennies, donated by members like you, add up to make a huge impact on our local community.

The 2023 QUARTER 2 grantees are:

  • Boomerang Backpacks
  • Land of Lakes Family Health Services
  • Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry

The voluntary board, composed of Steuben County REMC members, oversees the application and allocation process.

The Steuben County REMC Operation Round Up program is currently accepting applications for grants, and this year’s application deadlines are Sept. 29 and Dec. 29.

This fund is used to benefit the local community and focuses on economic development. Some funded projects include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement of Steuben County, and different food banks and youth programs.

501(c)(3) organizations can apply at steubenfoundation.org and access the grant portal by selecting “Apply” and then “Grants” at the top of the page.
