Three times a year, Boone REMC hosts educational events for our members on various topics related to the electric utility industry. These Member Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings also allow members to learn more about their electric cooperative and provide feedback to our leadership team.

Our next event will be on Feb. 20 in the Boone REMC Community Room at 1207 Indianapolis Ave., in Lebanon. Guest speaker Jim Shaw, CEO of Solential Energy, will share information about battery storage technology, the benefits, and a future outlook. Fulton County REMC CEO Andrew Horstman will provide a real-time example of how utility-scale batteries work.

Attendees can enjoy dinner and networking from 6 to 6:30 p.m. The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
