Fudge Filled Bars
Fudge Filled Bar Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups oats
- 1½ cups flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ t. salt
- 1 cup margarine, melted (do not use butter)
- 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 2 T. shortening
- 1 cup plain candy-coated chocolate candies, optional
- 1 cup pecans
Directions
Combine oats, flour, brown sugar and salt. Add margarine and mix until crumbly. Set aside 1½ cups of mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture into greased 9-by-13-inch pan. In saucepan, combine milk, chocolate chips and shortening. Cook and stir over low heat until chips are melted. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Top with candy-coated chocolate candies, if desired, and pecans. Bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes.
