The Heartland REMC Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 22, at the Huntington County Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and will last until 12:30 p.m.

The election is important to all members. Once members have registered, they will receive a ballot and can immediately cast their vote in the 2024 Board of Directors Election. Four director seats are up for election this year. All directors are elected at-large, which means members have the right to vote for directors in all four districts.

After registering and casting your ballot, you will be treated to a buffet lunch provided by Nelson’s BBQ.

The Huntington Dairy Queen outlets will provide free ice cream, and the Ossian Conversation Club will have free sugar corn. Several vendors will also be on hand, including TransWorld Network, which will provide information on the ongoing broadband initiative.

The business meeting is set for 1 p.m., during which Heartland REMC members can learn about the cooperative’s progress over the last year. Near the end of the meeting, a random drawing will be held, and 20 scholarships will be awarded to students whose parents or guardians are members of Heartland REMC.
