Orange County REMC is delighted to introduce Ashley Terrell as our new office manager. She steps into the shoes of Marcy Bennett who retired after being a cornerstone of our cooperative for 27 years. Terrell, a familiar face in our community for the past 20 years, brings a wealth of experience and a profound commitment to our cause.

She and her husband, Ronnie, reside in Orleans with their two children, Briley and Bryce. Her journey with the co-op began in August 2004 when she was hired as a member service representative (MSR).

Terrell recalls her early days at the REMC, “When I was hired as an MSR, I wanted to learn everything I could about this industry. I have met many great people and have always been a people person. I knew I wanted to continue my career with this great cooperative.”

Her enthusiasm and dedication led to her promotion as MSR lead and office manager backup, roles in which she honed the skills she uses today. Terrell’s participation in the Orange County Fiber project for six years also enriched her understanding and capabilities.

In her new role, she is excited about the growth and development it offers. Her responsibilities include assisting senior staff with efficient operational planning, leading her team to deliver the best customer service, organizing and assisting with events, and empowering her team with confidence and new job skills.

Terrell’s enthusiasm is contagious. “I am thrilled about the growth and development of my career, being the best leader for my team, and helping my team achieve their work and personal goals.”

Her immediate goals focus on instilling a positive culture for our members, improving work-life balance for employees, gaining new skills, learning new technology, and enhancing communication within the team. Looking further ahead, Terrell aims to continue her education and receive more training to help her team succeed. She is passionate about making everyone more enthusiastic about their jobs and striving for continuous improvement.

Terrell is most excited about the opportunities to work closely with her team, learn from them, and grow as a manager. She is committed to significantly impacting the cooperative and her professional development.

Her dedication, experience, and passion for our cooperative make her the perfect fit for this role. We are confident that under her leadership, our office will continue to thrive and serve our community with excellence.

Please join us in welcoming Ashley Terrell in her new role as our office manager. Her vision and commitment promise a bright future for our cooperative.
