Changes to your electric bill

When you open your next electric bill, you will see a change to the information on the back of the bill. To make it easier for our members, we’ve created a new bill layout that clearly breaks down your kilowatt-hour (kWh) usage by time-of-use (TOU) peak periods.

In the past, your electric bill simply showed total energy use. With the new layout, you can now see your kWh usage categorized into specific TOU periods such as on-peak, off-peak, and super off-peak. Seeing when your energy is consumed, you can make more informed decisions about when to run appliances or adjust your habits to achieve the most savings. If you prefer not to wait until the end of each month when your bill arrives to see your usage, you can log into SmartHub and view your daily consumption.

For more information and tips on managing energy use or transitioning to the TOU rate, visit kvremc.com and click time-of-use under the My Account tab.
