I am excited to announce that at the end of November, we will distribute capital credits to our members. This year, we are retiring capital credits for the years 1966-1970, and as a cooperative, it’s our privilege to return these funds to you — our valued member-owners.
For members who were on the line from 1966 to 1970 and are still receiving service on our line, your capital credits will be automatically applied as a credit on your November electric bill due on Dec. 15, reducing your total amount due. This is one of the many ways we aim to show our gratitude for your continued support.
You can still receive your capital credits if you are no longer on our line. Please update your contact information with us to ensure we can send payment. You can do this by calling our office or visiting our website and filling out the electronic “Member Information” form available on the capital credits webpage: marshallremc.com/capital-credits/. Please provide all the addresses where you received our service so we can accurately verify your information and issue your payment via check.
If we have your updated contact information on file, you will receive your capital credit check around the end of November. Make sure to update your contact information with us before Nov. 15 to receive your check by the end of the month.
Additionally, if you are acting as an executor for a former Marshall County REMC member and are seeking to collect their capital credits, please download, complete, and notarize the affidavit, which is also available on the capital credits webpage. Once completed, return it to our office to proceed.
It is our privilege to share the benefits of our cooperative’s success with you, and we appreciate your partnership. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Please visit our website or call our office to update your contact information to ensure you receive your retirement check!
