On Friday, Oct. 4, Southeastern Indiana REMC employees and members came together for a successful REMC Community Day at Versailles State Park. With 17 employees and four members volunteering their time and skills, the group split into teams to tackle various improvement projects around the park.
Among the tasks completed were the replacement of a pole light, tree removal, brush clearing and dirt work at the dam, and trail clearing. These efforts not only enhanced the safety and beauty of the park but also strengthened the connection between REMC and the local community.
“We’re proud to give back to the community that supports us,” said B.J. Myers, vice president of communications and creative services at SEI REMC. “It was great to see employees and members working side by side to make a positive impact.”
Thank you to everyone who participated in REMC Community Day and contributed to preserving one of our community’s treasured outdoor spaces. We look forward to more opportunities to serve together!
