As a member-owned electric cooperative, Boone REMC is governed by a board of directors representing the membership districts that make up our service territory.

Each year, we hold an election for three of our nine board districts. In April 2025, directors will be elected for districts 7, 8, and 9.

Members living in these districts who are interested in running for a board director position must complete a Director Candidate Questionnaire and collect signatures from 3% of the members residing in their board district. To find out which district you reside in or to find the questionnaire and signature forms, visit bremc.com/directors. If you would like more information about the number of members in your district, please contact our office.

The petition deadline for the 2025 director election is Jan. 31, 2025.
