Southeastern Indiana REMC is seeking engaged and dedicated members to run for the board of directors in Districts 4, 5, and 9. If you’re passionate about helping guide the future of our cooperative and the communities we serve, now is your chance to get involved!

District 4: Center, Hogan and Washington Townships in Dearborn County; Randolph Townships in Ohio County; and Posey and York Townships in Switzerland County.

District 5: Cass, Pike and Union Townships in Ohio County; Caesar Creek Township in Dearborn County; and Brown, Shelby and Otter Creek Townships in Ripley County.

District 9: Jackson, Johnson, Franklin, Center, Delaware and Washington Townships in Ripley County.

WHY SERVE ON THE BOARD?

Board members play a vital role in setting the direction of Southeastern Indiana REMC. As a director, you will represent your fellow members and help ensure the cooperative continues to provide reliable, affordable, and innovative services. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape policies, oversee financial decisions, and advocate for the best interests of your community.

WHO CAN RUN?

We’re seeking candidates who:

  • Live in Districts 4, 5, or 9
  • Are active Southeastern Indiana REMC members in good standing
  • Are passionate about serving the community and supporting the cooperative model
  • Are interested in learning about the energy and fiber service industry and the cooperative principles

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Interested candidates can begin the process by completing a Candidate Statement of Interest form on our website at seiremc.com/directorelection. This form is the first step in being considered by the Nominating Committee, which is responsible for reviewing candidates and nominating eligible individuals to stand for election.

NOMINATING PROCESS

The Nominating Committee will carefully review all submissions and nominate candidates they believe are qualified to serve on the Board. If the Nominating Committee chooses not to nominate a candidate who is otherwise eligible, that individual may still be placed on the ballot by submitting a petition signed by at least 30 active Southeastern Indiana REMC members.

IMPORTANT DATES

Statement of Interest Deadline: All forms must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2025.

Election: Voting will take place from April 16 through May 15. The results will be announced during a live broadcast on May 19, 2025.
