Steuben County REMC awards Operation Round Up grants

As your co-op, we are empowered to do more for our community. Steuben County REMC members recently awarded funds to three local organizations through the Operation Round Up program. The average contribution by a member per year is $6, with a maximum contribution of $11.88. These pennies, donated by members like you, add up to significantly impact our local community.

The Steuben County REMC Operation Round Up program is accepting grant applications. The next due date is Friday, Dec. 27.

This fund benefits the local community and focuses on economic development. Some funded projects include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement of Steuben County, and local food banks and youth programs.

501(c)(3) organizations can apply at steubenfoundation.org and access the grant portal by selecting “Apply” and then “Grants” at the top of the page.

The quarter three grantees are:

  • Steuben County Council on Aging Improving overall health through communication and nutritional education
  • Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana Boys & Girls Club of Elkhart County JA K-12 In-School Programming 2024-25

The voluntary board, composed of Steuben County REMC members, oversees the application and allocation process.
