After serving as LaGrange County REMC’s distribution system engineer for two years, Brandon Altimus has been promoted to the co-op’s engineering and operations manager.
“Though starting his career in the automotive industry, he has picked up quickly on electric distribution system engineering and implemented many new processes improving efficiency in both engineering and materials management. I look forward to him bringing the same thoughtful approach as he leads the entire engineering and operations team,” stated CEO Mark Leu.
Altimus joined the co-op in August 2019 and has been influential in getting the fiber-optic broadband project off and running. Though broadband has received much more fanfare lately, Altimus still has a focus on the reliability of the electric system.
“We aren’t putting the electrical stuff to the side. It’s still as important as ever,” Altimus said.
Since starting in this new role, he appreciates that he gets the full view of operations and notes that there are multiple angles of it that not everyone sees.
Altimus, wife Brittany, and their two children live in Wolcottville.
