The Annual Meeting and Picnic is our favorite event of the year, but the safety of Noble REMC’s members, employees and board comes first. That’s why we’ve made the tough decision to transition our Annual Meeting to an online format this year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we won’t be hosting an in-person event, we still want to make sure that you, our members, have the opportunity to have your voice heard and vote for your board of directors.
Board of directors election
This month, you will be receiving a mail-in ballot to your home. Simply vote for your directors, tear off the ballot on the perforation and send it back in the prepaid return envelope.
Ballots must be postmarked by May 29 to be counted in this year’s election.
It’s so quick and easy, you don’t even need to set it down on the counter when you return from the mailbox. Have your pen ready, make your marks and send it right back!
NOTE: Please do not include any bill payments in this envelope. We understand it’s tempting with the free postage, but these will not be opened until our credentialed election committee meets in June to tally the votes, making your payment late if included. Instead, call our secure pay line or pay through SmartHub, which are both free options to you and available right from your home.
Online annual meeting
We will announce the winners of the election during our virtual annual meeting, which will take place through live streaming on our Facebook at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.
You do not need a Facebook account in order to watch the meeting. On June 6, visit facebook.com/nobleremc, and scroll down until you find the most recent post, which should be our video. If at any point you’re prompted to put in your account information or create a new account, simply click “Not Now” at the bottom of that prompt, and it will disappear so you can continue watching.
If you would like to read over last year’s annual meeting minutes or review our 2019 financials before the meeting, visit nobleremc.com/annual-meeting or read June’s edition of the Indiana Connection.
We’re all going to miss the fun of the picnic — live entertainment, porkburgers and bounce houses — but what we’re going to miss most is interacting with you, our members. But your safety, and the safety of our employees and our board, is our top priority.
We’ll see you next year with an ice cream sandwich in hand!
