Carroll White REMC hosted their 13th Annual Meeting on Friday, June 21, at the White County Fairgrounds in Reynolds. Remington Poultry provided food for the event.
“We had great attendance at the Annual Meeting despite the heat,” said Cathy Raderstorf, CEO. “The Blue Moose Ice Cream truck was a huge hit, as was the music all evening from local band, Group Therapy.”
CW REMC’s Board of Directors President Kent Zimpfer welcomed guest members to the event, which opened with Taylor Burns singing the National Anthem. Levi Messer gave the invocation.
Zimpfer welcomed dignitaries and special guests before introducing fellow board members. “Your financial and operational interests in our cooperative are represented by a board of directors made up of CW REMC members, elected by you, the member/owners,” said Zimpfer, who represents District Three.
Currently serving CW REMC on the board are Aaron Anderson, vice president, representing District One; Jeff Newell, District Two; Margaret Foutch, District Four; Ralph Zarse, secretary-treasurer, representing District Five; Gary Gerlach, District Six, serving as director on the Indiana Electric Cooperatives’ Board of Directors; and Tina Davis, District Seven, assistant secretary-treasurer and director to Wabash Valley Power Alliance, CW REMC’s power supplier.
Zarse read the certificate specifying the legal notice of the meeting, proof of giving notice of the meeting, and the number of members in the cooperative and what number constitutes a quorum.
Zimpfer announced that the 2023 CW REMC Annual Meeting minutes were included in the June edition of the Indiana Connection magazine. There was a motion and second to dispense with the reading of the minutes, and that motion was carried out to approve the minutes without corrections.
The 2023 Financial Report was also provided in the June edition of the Indiana Connection.
The Annual Accountant’s report from the Auditing Firm of London Witte and Company was included for review.
