Henry County REMC is a member-owned electric cooperative headquartered in New Castle, Indiana. As a cooperative, Henry County REMC follows seven core principles that are universal to cooperatives worldwide. Among those principles is one stressing education, training and information. Indiana Connection, a monthly magazine published especially for Indiana’s electric cooperative members, is one way the REMC informs and educates its members. Indiana Connection is available not only in a print format, but as an electronic publication for those who prefer getting their information on their electronic devices.

Electrify Indiana 2024, presented by Hoosier Energy, Wabash Valley Power Alliance, and Indiana Electric Cooperatives, took the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis by storm on Aug. 26.  Over 300 people, representing 120 companies, 48 sponsors, and 44 tradeshow booths, attended the event designed to promote beneficial electrification. Two years ago, Hoosier Energy became the first generation and transmission cooperative to receive a Certificate of Inclusion for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Nationwide Candidate Conservation Agree with Assurances (CCAA) for the monarch butterfly.
