Southern Indiana Power is a member-owned electric cooperative headquartered in Tell City, Indiana. As a cooperative, Southern Indiana Power follows seven core principles that are universal to cooperatives worldwide. Among those principles is one stressing education, training and information. Indiana Connection, a monthly magazine published especially for Indiana’s electric cooperative members, is one way the REMC informs and educates its members. Indiana Connection is available not only in a print format, but as an electronic publication for those who prefer getting their information on their electronic devices.

Employee Spotlight: Brett Hubert
Brett Hubert was hired Feb. 20, 1994. He is our field service coordinator and our longest-tenured employee. He and his wife, Laurie, live in Perry County with their two boys, Caleb and Chase. When not working, Hubert enjoys spending time watching his boys play sports and camping with friends and family.

Empowering our communities
Members of Southern Indiana Power donated $25,344 to local charities, community projects, students and fire departments through the cooperative’s Operation Round Up program this Spring. Summertime means spray crews begin
Starting at the end of May, we will have two spray crews focusing east of Highway 37 in Perry County this summer.
Camp Kilowatt camper selected
Southern Indiana Power is sponsoring local student Grant Knepper to attend Camp Kilowatt. Grant is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where he is an acolyte, and he also volunteers at the annual soup supper. He is also a member of the Fulda 4-H club.
