The members of Orange County REMC gathered on June 8 for the annual meeting at Paoli Junior-Senior High School.
“This year marks Orange County REMC’s 81st year striving to go the extra mile to bring value and improve our members’ and communities’ quality of life,” said Eugene Roberts, while presiding over the meeting as board president. “And in reflection of the past 81 years, I think it is important to acknowledge those who came before us who made the original decision to start this organization.”
The meeting featured musical entertainment, a catered meal, custom-made desserts and a children’s program. Several community organizations were also on hand with information booths.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a drawing was held for several prizes. Dolly Morris of French Lick was the grand prize winner. She took home $500 in cash. Jaxton Deaton and Julie Stroud won the children’s prize drawings — two tickets to French Lick-West Baden Indoor Karting. Sophie Johnson won two tickets to Big Splash Adventure water park, and Wesley Archer won two tickets to Holiday World.
