Every October brings fall and a time for Indiana’s electric cooperatives to give back to their communities. Southern Indiana Power, along with 28 Indiana electric co-ops, took part in the fifth annual Cooperative Community Day. Concern for Community is one of the cooperative principles we all tend to demonstrate best.
Southern Indiana Power employees worked with Stepping Stones Preschool (which provided the materials) to give their building a fresh new look. They also hung a tire swing and created a chicken coop for the children to enjoy in the near future.
Co-op employees also spread mulch around playground equipment and cleaned interior tables and windows at Gwaltney Memorial Park.
The final Community Day project was helping the Perry County Horseman’s Club remove an old announcer’s podium to make way for the construction of a new one.
Southern Indiana Power is honored to support the communities we serve through our annual Community Day.
