In this section, we’ll tell you where our maintenance and construction crews will be and what they will be doing.

Fiber Make Ready — KV REMC crews will be performing system improvement requirements in preparation for attaching fiber optic lines to our electric poles. The work is scheduled to be done this month in the Porter (specifically the Jackson Township area) and LaPorte County areas. This work will include the replacement of electric poles. 

ElectriCom, contracted to place buried and aerial fiber on the system, will be completing phase 1 of the fiber ring project later this month.

Line Rebuilds — As part of our continuous commitment to service and safety, our contract crews will continue the rebuilding of a section of the line on 1000 S. in Starke County.
