To keep you informed of your Cooperative’s operations and activities, the following are highlights of the Dec. 27 board meeting.

1. All directors were present, along with President/CEO Steve Seibert.

2. The Nov. 29 board meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.

3. The membership certificates were reviewed.

4. The vouchers were reviewed and approved.

5. The November director’s report was reviewed and approved.

6. Seibert updated the board on the fiber project with PSC.

7. The CEO report was the first item of new business, with Seibert reporting the following items:

a. Seibert reported on the dissolution of Cooperatives One, LLC, effective at the close of business on Dec. 31, 2023.
b. Seibert provided an Indiana sales tax audit update.
c. Seibert reported on a 2023 UUS transformer rebate.
d. Seibert provided the 2024 standby schedule.
e. Seibert gave an update on the Hoosier Energy Perry County reliability plan.
f. Seibert reported on participation in the Tell City and Santa Claus Christmas parades.
g. Seibert reported the following dates: the NRECA CEO conference — January 8–10 and the NRECA PowerXchange — March 4–6.

8. Robert White, safety and risk management instructor with IEC, conducted grounds testing training on Dec. 21. Seibert advised there were no lost time accidents or public liability claims to report.

9. The board reviewed and approved a listing of bad debt accounts to be written off.

10. Directors reviewed and approved the 2024 board meeting schedule.

11. The annual meeting committee meeting has been scheduled for Feb. 2.

12. Chairman Jeff Vogel was elected voting delegate, and Director David Lynch was the alternate for the NRECA 2024 PowerXchange conference.

13. 1Director Randy Kleaving was elected voting delegate for the NRTC annual meeting.

14. Director Kleaving was elected voting delegate for the CRC annual meeting.

15. Director Lynch reported on the IEC annual meeting held Dec. 4–5.

16. Committee Chairman Gary Waninger and Seibert reported on the budget committee meeting held on Dec. 19. Following discussion, the Board approved the 2024 budget as presented.

17. Chairman Vogel read a thank you note from Robert Fox and IBEW Local 1393.

18. The next regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
