LaGrange County REMC’s seven-member board of directors participates in continuing education programs through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Your REMC’s commitment to ongoing learning and fiduciary duty doesn’t cease and the board of directors is actively pursuing growth opportunities. Directors Tony Bontrager, Cliff Hibbs, and Shane Rasler have each earned their Board Leadership Certificate (BLC) this year, while Director Jeff Brill has earned his Director Gold Credential (DGC).

Both the certificate and credential are part of NRECA’s three-part Director Education Program, geared to help electric cooperative directors understand their roles and responsibilities, stay up-to-date on the industry issues and trends and prepare them to meet the challenges facing electric cooperatives.
