Derek Spath was hired Oct. 4, 2004, as an apprentice lineman. Spath graduated from the HEATS program to become a journeyman lineman on Oct. 25.

Spath and his wife, Sara, live in Tell City. They have one son, Kegan.

When he isn’t working, Spath enjoys hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and spending time with his son.
