This May, Broadway Broadband powered by Miami-Cass REMC welcomed Gavin Bowman to the team as an installer. In his role, he completes fiber and wireless installations and performs service calls for customers.

Bowman is a Peru native and a 2019 graduate of Peru High School. During, and for a year following high school, he worked for Ace Hardware in Peru. He then worked two years for his father at Bowman’s Heating and Cooling before joining Broadway Broadband.

Bowman has always worked in customer service and likes interacting with customers on a daily basis. He also enjoys the diversity that comes with service calls, as it brings something different every day. Bowman considers the day a success when he has completed all of his jobs and his customers are happy. His least favorite part of the job, however, is climbing towers. 

Bowman is a self-professed “couch potato” and enjoys relaxing on his days off. He is happiest when spending time with his family and being outdoors in the woods. Bowman likes to bow fish and has even had an opportunity to fish for alligator gar in a bayou in Louisiana. He would also like to take a cruise at some point.

When growing up, Bowman wanted to race four-wheelers for a living, but life took him in a different direction. If not pursuing this career path, Bowman stated that he would like to own his own company someday — perhaps in heating and air conditioning like his dad, or by owning rental properties.
