Decatur County REMC’s Jennie Meyer will celebrate 11 years at the cooperative next month. Meyer and her husband, Stacy, reside in Greensburg and have twin girls, Ashlynn and Bailey, who are off to college this year. Meyer graduated from Southwestern High School in Hanover and went on to graduate from Hanover College with a double major in business and health.
As bookkeeper at DCREMC, Meyer’s duties include anything involving a spreadsheet. She reconciles daily/monthly financial data and accounts, prepares monthly financial reports, reconciles labor distribution, PTO, taxes and benefits, files monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns and reports, as well as accounting for Hometown Energy.
Meyer enjoys spending time with her family and attending athletic events. She also enjoys DIY projects, crafts, and exercising. Meyer says her favorite thing about working at DCREMC is the family atmosphere here.
“We care about each other, the job we do and our members,” said Meyer.
She also likes helping the community in which her family resides and is always willing to participate in community projects and volunteer opportunities.
