Nichols graduates from apprentice program

Seventeen lineworkers including Braden Nichols from Steuben County REMC graduated Saturday, Jan. 25, from Indiana Electric Cooperatives’ Rural Electric Apprenticeship Program (REAP). REAP is a four-year program that professionally trains apprentice lineworkers from across Indiana. SSHS receives $36,000 incentive check

This past fall South Spencer High School completed a two-year long renovation project.  During this project, all of the existing HVAC equipment was replaced and exchanged with energy-efficient, rooftop HVAC units that sit above each individual classroom. Cody Pfeifer has been with the co-op for nearly eight years. He was hired Aug. 6, 2012, as an apprentice lineman. Pfeifer graduated from the HEATS program to become a journeyman lineman on Nov. 4, 2016. He lives in Perry County. When he isn’t working, he enjoys hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
