Things that can be refreshed:
- hat glass of iced tea you’re sipping
- our computer
- our attitude
- our wardrobe
- our electric cooperative magazine
Welcome to the first issue of a refreshed Electric Consumer. Your electric cooperative magazine celebrates its 67th year with this issue. It’s an opportune time to change things up a bit. You’ll immediately notice a new logo and typography throughout the magazine. On this page, not only will you discover what’s on my mind, you’ll learn about our special promotions, contests and giveaways.
Local co-op news will conveniently be located in the center of the magazine right after the food section and right before the main feature story. We’re debuting new features like “Profile” which introduces you to a co-op member or employee who’s doing great things in his/her community. In “Indiana Eats” we’ll hit the road, and grab a seat at some of our state’s best diners, drive-ins and restaurants. Our product recalls column, which appeared periodically, is now a regular feature, providing you with timely information that might save your life — or the life of a loved one.
Of course, this wouldn’t be Electric Consumer without your favorite sections like food and gardening. And, we remain your key source for news about electric co-ops, electric safety, electric efficiency and electric products.
We hope our loyal readers will enjoy our refreshed magazine. We also hope a new generation of readers will pick up the publication.
Please let us know what you think of our new look and our new features, and share your ideas on how we can improve even more. Because the thing about a “refresh” is — it’s a continual process.
