- One page from comic book
- One ruler
- One pen or pencil
- One pair of scissors
- One piece of cardstock paper or file folder
- One bottle of craft glue
- One roll of packing tape
- One single hole punch
- Embroidery floss, yarn or thin cord
What to do:
- Using a ruler and a pen or pencil, draw two 2″ x 6″ boxes on a comic book page. Cut them out.
- Trace one of the pieces of paper on the cardstock paper and cut the 2″ x 6″ cardstock box. (We recycled an old file folder!)
- Glue one of the cut comic book pieces of paper onto each side of cardstock.
- If you did not place the paper on the cardstock exactly, trim the edges so the cardstock is not visible.
- Apply clear packing tape to front and back of bookmark.
- Trim excess tape.
- Punch a hole in the middle of the bookmark next to the top edge.
- Cut two pieces of cord that are each twice as long as the height of the bookmark.
- Thread both cords through the hole together and tie a knot along the edge of the bookmark, leaving the remaining cord extending from the bookmark.
