All members who are enrolled in paperless billing by Feb. 29, will be entered into a drawing for two $500 bill credits.
With paperless billing, you can receive alerts when your bill is ready to view and pay. There’s no more waiting for your paper bill to arrive in the mail.
When you switch to paperless billing, you are supporting the environment by reducing paper waste. In addition, you help your cooperative hold down costs by reducing the amount of money spent on printing and postage.
HOW TO ENROLL IN PAPERLESS BILLING
SmartHub is a tool that allows you to manage your Boone REMC account notifications and stay connected with your electric cooperative. You can pay your bill, check your electricity use, report an outage, update your account information, and more. SmartHub can be used on the web or via a mobile app. You need a SmartHub account to enroll in paperless billing. If you don’t yet have a login, follow the instructions below for setting up a SmartHub account either via the web or mobile app.
MOBILE APP INSTRUCTIONS
- Download the SmartHub app from your mobile device’s app store.
- Open the app and search for Boone REMC by name.
- Tap “Don’t have an account? Register now.”
- Enter the required information and follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.
- Once you’re logged into the app, tap on “More” at the bottom right. Then choose “Settings.”
- Tap “Paperless Billing” and confirm your enrollment.
- Go back to More –> Settings and choose “Manage Notifications”.
- Review and update these settings to ensure you are receiving text messages and emails for the various notifications from Boone REMC.
WEB INSTRUCTIONS
- Visit bremc.smarthub.coop/Login.html.
- Click “Sign up to access our Self Service site”.
- Enter the required information and follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.
- Once you’re logged into SmartHub, click on the “My Profile” dropdown menu, and then choose “Update My Paperless Settings.”
- Change the toggle on the right to display “On” to indicate you’d like to go paperless.
- Hover over the “Notifications” dropdown menu and click on “Manage Notifications”.
- Review and update these settings to ensure you are receiving text messages and emails for the various notifications from Boone REMC.
