As we reflect on Jerry Kelley’s retirement from the board of directors this past July, we celebrate his remarkable 42-year tenure as our District 5 board member. His commitment and leadership profoundly shaped our organization.
District 5’s history began in 1946 with Hugh Richey, our first director, who served with dedication for 36 years. In July 1982, Mr. Kelley was elected as only the second director, continuing this legacy of exceptional service.
Director Kelley’s tireless dedication and effective leadership guided the cooperative through growth and change. His ability to listen, understand, and act in our organization’s and his community’s best interests earned him deep respect and admiration.
As Director Kelley retires, we extended our deepest gratitude for his 42 years of service. His contributions left an incredible mark, inspiring us all. We wish him a joyous retirement and commit to building on the strong foundation he helped establish.
Jerry Kelley’s legacy will continue to inspire future leaders of the cooperative. While we will miss his presence on the board, his impact will endure, guiding us as we move forward.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jerry Kelley for his exemplary service and dedication. His passion and commitment to Jackson County REMC have made a lasting impact, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
