Southern Indiana Power is led by members like you who listen and understand the community.
If you’ve been looking for a way to become more involved in the cooperative and, in turn, your community, now is the time to make your voice heard and pick up a petition to run for a seat on our board of directors.
At this year’s Southern Indiana Power Annual Meeting on April 21, members will have the opportunity to vote for individuals to represent them for the following districts:
District 3: Carter and Harrison townships in Spencer County.
District 4: Hammond and Huff townships in Spencer County.
The board is composed of seven individuals who represent the membership in his or her respective districts. Directors set policy and guide the future direction of the cooperative.
Qualified members of Southern Indiana Power, who live in those districts up for election, may seek election by filing a petition with the signatures of 30 members supporting the candidacy. Incumbent directors will need to submit a letter of interest.
Interested persons should call or stop by the office to request a petition. Signed petitions must be returned to Southern Indiana Power by 4 p.m., Feb. 21, in order to be eligible for election at the 2020 annual meeting.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the election process or need clarification on determining the district in which you reside, please contact Lisa Hinton at the office at your earliest convenience.
