I am pleased to announce the long-awaited return to the live, in-person LaGrange County REMC Annual Meeting. This event marks a significant milestone in our journey, signaling not only our resilience but also our commitment to fostering stronger connections within our community.
After a four-year absence, we are excited to welcome you back to our annual business meeting and member appreciation event, scheduled to take place on Friday, June 7, from 4–6 p.m. Though this year’s meeting won’t be completely like the event before 2020, we’re enthusiastic about the opportunity to reconnect with our members.
Join us for an evening filled with fun, food, and fellowship! We will serve pork burgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and, of course, don’t forget the ice cream! In addition to the delicious spread, there will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family. Children can bounce around in a couple of bounce houses while adults peruse community booths and catch up with fellow members. It promises to be an evening of laughter, camaraderie, and shared memories.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the reintroduction of cash drawings. We will be giving away a total of $1,000 in drawings, with prizes including a $500 grand prize, two $200 prizes, and an early-bird $100 prize.
Prior to 2020, members needed to attend the Annual Meeting to vote for the board of directors (and receive a bill credit). While voting for your board of directors has since transitioned to online or mail-in ballots, we’re pleased to announce an updated incentive this year. Members who vote online will receive a $10 bill credit, while those who opt for mail-in voting will receive a $5 bill credit. Our return to hosting the Annual Meeting is a testament to our unwavering dedication to our members. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and open communication. We recognize the importance of keeping our members informed and engaged, and we are committed to fostering a culture of collaboration and partnership.
