Teach your children how they can be good environmental stewards while having fun at the same time.
Vintage clothing can be cool!
Take the kids to resale/thrift shops and antique stores to find authentic distressed jeans and true vintage T-shirts to wear. Plus, they’ll actually be doing their part to recycle while putting together a unique look!
Turn it over
Before throwing out a used piece of paper, tell the kiddos to turn it over to see if the other side is blank. If so, it can still be used. They can use it to draw on or play a game of MASH.
Collect and donate
Enlist your children to help you gather items your family no longer needs to donate to charity. They can also lead the charge to recycle aluminum cans and paper. Lions Clubs collect used glasses and used cell phones are collected by many community organizations to be used by servicemen or servicewomen overseas or by victims of domestic violence.
