The day after Thanksgiving kicks off the Christmas shopping season. While you’re out getting that special gift for family, pick up one to share with someone in need. Kankakee Valley REMC is involved again this year in making Christmas morning wishes come true through the U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The official boxes have started popping up now that we are so close to Christmas.

Kankakee Valley REMC is a drop off point for Toys for Tots. Its 70-year campaign to make sure children in need do not go without gifts on Christmas morning goes hand-in-hand with the REMC’s commitment to the community. Help us in assisting families in need by donating a new toy in the Toys for Tots box in our lobby. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 18.

You can drop your toy donation off at the co-op office Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We extend a big thank you in advance for helping us ensure Toys for Tots has a successful toy drive. This program is just one more way that each of us can give a little back to the community and help children to have a joyous holiday season.
