The KV REMC employees recently demonstrated their commitment to the community and leadership development through a series of team-building activities. This initiative stressed the cooperative’s dedication to a strong, collaborative workforce while positively impacting the local community.

As part of this team-building activity, the employees packed an impressive 15,130 meals for Pack Away Hunger. This activity contributed to combating food insecurity in the area. The meals were given to the Northwest Indiana Food Bank to then be distributed to local food pantries in the co-op’s service territory.

In addition, the team also embarked on a challenging obstacle course at Beyond Boundaries, a division of Porter-Starke Services, Inc. This experience pushed employees to foster teamwork and strengthen interpersonal connections.

The co-op committed to a series of team-building activities for the year, each emphasizing collaboration and community giveback.
