Humble, dependable, knowledgeable, kind, organized, good listener, servant leader These are just a few words that the employees of Decatur County REMC used to describe the backbone of our organization, Larry Scheidler.
After 20 years of service at Decatur County REMC, Scheidler retires this month. Scheidler joined DCREMC in 1999 after an already lengthy and accomplished career within the industry at PSI. During his tenure at DCREMC, Scheidler has diligently served in a variety of capacities including staking, dispatching, managing work orders, and supporting all other functions of the business needed. Through his quiet, humble approach and willingness to help others, he has solidified himself as a true servant leader and resident expert at DCREMC.
Scheidler and his wife Janice have three sons (Joshua, Jeremy, and Jonathon) and several grandchildren. A long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, he enjoys walking, bowling, and watching his grandkids participate in activities.
Scheidler’s contributions to DCREMC are immeasurable and his presence will definitely be missed.
DCREMC thanks Scheidler for his dedication and years of service and wishes him all the best in his retirement.
