As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I find myself reflecting on the many reasons we have to be grateful here at Henry County REMC. Our members and the communities we serve are at the heart of our electric cooperative.

This past year has brought its share of challenges, from navigating the ongoing effects of the pandemic to weathering severe storms that tested our grid’s resilience. Your support, patience, and understanding have been unwavering through it all. For that, I am profoundly thankful.

I’m also grateful for our dedicated employees who work tirelessly to keep your lights on, often under challenging conditions. Their commitment to safety, reliability, and member service is truly commendable.

As we look to the future, we’re excited about the initiatives we’re undertaking to make our cooperative even stronger:

  1. Investing in grid modernization and vegetation to improve reliability
  2. Working with our power supplier to diversify the energy generation portfolio
  3. Enhancing our community support programs

These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to you and the principles that guide cooperatives everywhere.

This Thanksgiving, as you gather with loved ones, please know that all of us at Henry County REMC are thankful for the trust you place in us. We remain dedicated to powering your lives and brightening our shared future.

On behalf of our board of directors and employees, I wish you and your families a safe, warm, and joyous Thanksgiving holiday.
