The annual Marshall County Ag Day was held Thursday, Sept. 15, for area third graders at Centennial Park in Plymouth. Children learned about the value of agriculture to our community.
Presenter topics included bees/pollination, electric safety, ducks, swine, sheep, goats, dairy, beef, conservation of natural resources, crop production, farm safety and draft horses. Journeyman Lineman Doug MacLain represented Marshall County REMC by educating the students and other attendees on the importance of electrical safety. MacLain used the demonstration shown in this picture to teach students how to react if they see a downed power line. He also explained what happens to the human body if it comes in contact with electricity.
