Mike Yankauskas has been a Kankakee Valley REMC member-consumer for 42 years and is a grain and livestock producer. His decades of service in electric power production and distribution have given him the knowledge and foresight as the industry moves from traditional power sources to incorporate renewables in a safe, reliable and cost effective manner for our member-consumers. Yankauskas will continue to build upon his 27 years of service as a director.

Russell R. Guse has been a Kankakee Valley REMC member-consumer for 12 years and is employed as a crop duster pilot and Beck’s Hybrids dealer.  He has an associate degree in electrical engineering tech along with nine years of previous experience in the cooperative.   

As a small business owner in the community, he understands the need for cost-effective, reliable power. As a parent, he feels the duty to preserve the cooperative roots while focusing on the future development of energy rates, reliability, and generation sources.
