Steuben County REMC asks our members to join us in welcoming our newest employee, Sarah Zydiak, to the team. Zydiak joins us as our new GIS coordinator/dispatcher, working in our operations and engineering department on mapping and dispatching of the crews.
She was born and raised in the small town of Broadview Heights, just outside of Cleveland, Ohio.
After high school, Zydiak attended Bowling Green State University where she majored in geography and geographic information systems. After graduating, her boyfriend (who also is in the GIS field) told her about the Touchstone Energy careers website, where she found our listing.
“It was somewhat close to home,” she said. “And my professor told me that 70 percent of the jobs in my specialty were in the utility industry.”
As this is her first job out of college, she is looking forward to gaining experience and industry knowledge while she grows her skills.
She is an avid Cleveland sports fan. She is a self-proclaimed ‘Clevelander,’ meaning that “if you like the Cavs and the Indians because they’re good, you still have to like the Browns.”
Please help us welcome Sarah to the Steuben County REMC family!
