What do you enjoy most about your job so far? What do you look forward to with your new position? In just the first week, I really see that Clark County REMC is community-oriented and focused on its members. I can already see the spirit of helping others. I’m excited to learn more about the technology in place and how we can continually improve to support our employees and members.

What is your professional background? Prior to the REMC, I worked at Louisville Water Company for 26 years. I started as an intern and worked up to Director of Information Technology over the Enterprise Applications team.

Tell me about your family. You can list names of your family if you’d like. I was born and raised in Louisville. I moved to Indiana in 1996. My wife, Amy, and I have been married almost 25 years. She is a preschool teacher at Lafayette Academy Preschool. We have three children. Our oldest, Autumn, graduated from University of Louisville in 2018 and was recently married. The second oldest, Trenton, is going into his senior year at Speed School of Engineering at University of Louisville. Our youngest, Carson, just graduated high school and is entering his freshman year in Speed School of Engineering at University of Louisville.  We also have a spoiled-rotten terrier named Penelope.

What are your hobbies and what do you enjoy doing. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like to consider myself a handyman and tackle home improvement projects. I’m not very good at golf but enjoy playing. My family enjoys taking long weekend trips to Lake Michigan and just relaxing! Being in IT, I like to stay up with technology and keep learning about new devices and systems.

I am very excited to be part of such a strong organization. I am looking forward to several things in my position here. Not only is this position a great opportunity to develop new skill levels, but also a great opportunity for me to grow and develop in a family environment where employees are valued and appreciated.

I worked for 17 years at Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Center before starting with REMC. I began as a receptionist in its New Albany Surgery Center before moving up to materials management, credentialing and Assistant to the Director. The last 9 1/2 years there I worked as its HR Manager for all employees and office locations.

I have one son who is 15 and attends Charlestown High School. My parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew all live in Charlestown, too.  I was born and raised in Charlestown.

I do actually enjoy going to almost any sporting event, spending time with my family and friends, going to the movies and trying new restaurants.
